ORANGE JUICE!!!

That was just an awesome random thing. I don't know why said it! So. . .

School is great!!! My teachers are pretty awesome, all my friends are here (except Abby!! MISS YOU!! I HOPE YOU ARE HAVING FUN IN INDIANA) and volleyball is going pretty well, except that we lost our first match against Harrisonville. BARELY! And some girl called Rae a mean word (they were just jealous of her awesomeness!). Actually, B team won. A team is the one that barely lost. Okay, my schedule,

R-1 Algebra
R-2 Communication Arts
R-3 Math
R-4 BAND!!!

B-1 Social Studies
B-2 Computer Keyboarding
B-3 Science
B-4 P.E.

Lunch is still walking off the plates. Bathrooms are cold and have the occasional stink. Band is and has always been cold.

We went to the MU football game last Saturday. We won 27-20 against Bowling Green. Connor and I were making eachother mad.

Him: MU is going to lose
Me: Have you ever HEARD of Bowling Green?
Him: No.
Me: Exactly. What good football player would want to go to a college that no one ever hears of or no one likes. Like Bowling Green, or. . . KU!

and. . . . . . .

Me: There are about seven bajillion cars here with tiger tails hanging out of the their trunks.
Him: Wow, that must be a lot of dead tigers.

I decided it was really bad for me to laugh.

I gotta go drink my orange juice (with calcium because apparently I don't drink milk)

Aeropostale perfume (so good!!)
AND. . . . WAIT FOR IT. . . . . . . . . .
$125 gift card for Amazon (more towards my iPod Touch)
MY NEW LAPTOP!!! (I was SO excited!! I love it!! It is really awesome!!)

It was one of the best days EVER!! Christy and I rode the Roller Coaster simulator and she was SCREAMING her head off!!! I was cracking up at her!!! Between Kiersten and Kellen and I, we had 523 tickets!!! Amy had 413, Christy had 304 and Rae had somewhere around 254 or something!!!! Kiersten and Kellen and I got 2 necklaces, 2 rings (Kiersten and I had the most) and Kellen got a Whoopie Cusion. HAHAHA!

At Barnes and Noble, I got 3 books, Amy got one (Thirteen Reasons Why), Rae and Christy got one together (Flirtexting). That one is SO FUNNY!!!! There are some random quotes in the back to say to guys you are "flirtexting" and some of them were HILARIOUS. There was this one we pulled on a bunch of guys!!

You: It smells like updog in here!
Him: What is updog?
You: Oh, nothing much, what are you doing???

It was so funny!!! And there's this other one, when you are txting a guy, and he stops texting you and you want a laugh, you say
"Are we playing the quiet game? Because if we are, you are really good!"
I haven't actually pulled that one yet. But I plan on it!!

That's about it. It was a wonderful day and I have a feeling that I won't have another day like this one in a long time.

Oh, and we went to the Deepwater fair and rode some rides. And ate some custard. It was good.

On this one that Christy and I rode (Rae and Amy were wimps and didn't ride it), we offered the dude our tickets and he didn't take them so we got a free ride!!! Kind of exciting!!

Okay, so now that's it! I think.

Flordia- NOW I Can Say 'Been There Done That!'

I had so much fun in Flordia!!!!

We left early-ish to the airport on Friday morning (well early for me!) and we left at, ummm, 11:30 I think. We got to Memphis and i realized that there was NO Dr. Pepper!!!!! There wasn't any no matter where we looked!!! I was not happy at all.

We got to Orlando and I thought we landed in a storm cuz I saw lightning out the plane window!!! By the way, I got to sit in first class a little way because Grandpa let me sit there. Okay, so we got to Orlando and Seth and I were so excited!! There was a guy waiting for us and he had that sign that you see at airports in all the airport movies!!!

That night at the hotel, it was a seafood buffet and I was not happy, but they had spaghetti, and something else, too! I would only eat the fried shrimp, and I could only eat so much of that, so. . . ya. And they also did not have Dr Pepper!

The next day, we went to Animal Kingdom. My two favorite rides there were Kali River Rapids (like the Fury of the Nile (Worlds of Fun) or The Lost River of the Ozarks (Silver Dollar City) and Expidition Everest.

The next day we went to Hollywood Studios! It was really cool!! We rode The Tower of Terror one of the first things. Then we went and got a fast pass thing for The Rockin' Roller Coaster. It was about 1 and our fast passes told us to come back at 8:15 to 9:15! It was crazy. But we did the American Idol Experience during the wait and it was so cool. I loved the girl that won the whole thing. She won a free ticket to the front of any line to an American Idol Audition. She was good. The tower of Terror was so cool! it was like a story and you go forward through it and then you stop and some doors in front of you open and you see the whole park and then you just drop. 13 stories! It was so cool. I was about 3 inches off my seat for about 4 seconds on each of 4 drops! I loved it. But I like the Detinator at World's of Fun more.

The Aerosmith Rockin' Roller Coaster was really cool! It started and went really slowly around a corner and stoped and then it was like the powder keg at silver dollar city and it shot you down a tunnel and went up side down and I liked it. When asked if I lost anything, I said, "Yes. My stomach and my hair style."

At Animal Kingdom, we rode this simulator called Dinosaur, and I hated it so much!!!! Mom and Seth and this little girl and my grandma looked a little scared. My dad and my grandpa and these two other adults were just watching it , me and this guy around my age were ducked down trying to avoid the dinosaurs! I hated it! So they had to get the picture. I was a little mad about that.

The Pirates of the Carribean ride was pretty cool. Splash Mountain was okay. Big drop. Really Wet. Non-happy Taylor. Peter Pan was so awesome. You got to this one spot and the track ended and you just seemed to float through scenes in the movie!!! It was really cool. And my official LEAST favorite song is 'It's a Small World'!!! Especially when tiny dolls are singing it!

Cinderella's castle fireworks were really cool and Tinker Bell came out of a top window and seemed to float across the sky!!

I hated the monorails!! Think about it. Its like a subway 20 feet in the air and you can't even see the rail! It's really bad when you are over alligator infested water and inside buildings on the 2nd and 3rd floors!!!

The ride in the Epcot ball was really cool. It was about the future and we got to make our own! I can't really remember mine, but I broke my arm skiing in my future and had hot chocolate. It took our pics and put our faces on the bodies in the 'future'!!! It was so cool!!!

Soarin was awesome!!! It took you over California scenes and when you went over certain scenes it sprayed scents and it was really cool! Like when we went over the orange groves, we could smell oranges!! It was cool.

More on school tomorrow!!!

That's all folks!!! (I just watched a Bugs Bunny episode)

Being There- Part 3- Tuesday

We went downtown and decided to go to the National Spy Museum. It was pretty fun. Seth LOVED it. We had to pick our identity and memorize everything. Here's mine

  • Name: Jane Meyer
  • Female
  • Age: 13
  • Country of Residence: USA
  • Occupation: Student
  • Destination: Dublin, Ireland
  • Birthplace: Sweetwater, Tennessee
  • Reason for Visit: Vacation
  • Duration of Stay: 7 Days
  • Mission: Go to the National Museum of Ireland- Meet Tommy Doyle (who is my contact and is also a guide in the museum)- Ask about the Vikings of Ireland- Receive a sheet about military actions, written in MICRODOT- Depart and return sheet to headquarters.

We met Nana, Aunt Kathy and Aunt Patty at the National Museum of the American Indian to eat lunch. It was really good and I had the best blackberry pie thing that was hard and the cream was really sweet and the blackberries were perfect! The rest of the Museum wasn't very good, except fot the VERY EXPENSIVE jewelry and the cased beadwork. Those were both really pretty!!!

That night, Jack and Clo took everyone from our part of Missouri to Old Ebbitt's Grill. Someone offered me $100 to eat an oyster. I WOULD NOT DO IT!!! I loved the ribs and fries and ate all of it.

We left for dinner at 7:30 PM and we didn't get back until 10:30 PM. We were glad to go to bed.

<3>

Being There- Part Dos (is that how you spell it?)- Monday

Our first morning in D.C. was not my favorite. We had to get up pretty early and I am not an early person. We got up and made our way to the subway. It took forever to figure out how to get passes. We finally figured it out and we were on our way from our stop, which was right across from our hotel, Woodley Park/Zoo.

We stopped at the National Mall. The Lincoln Memorial is 2 miles from the Capitol Building! I had NO IDEA that it was that FAR!!!! Here's what we saw (not necessarily completely all through the whole building, but kind of from the outside)
  • Washington Monument
  • WW2 Memorial
  • Lincoln Memorial
  • Vietnam Memorial
  • White House
  • Capitol Building
  • Smithsonians
  • Library of Congress
  • Supreme Court
  • Potomac River

We walked ALL OVER tarnation (I just had to put that). So finally we decided to just find a place to eat because it was 2PM and we had not eaten. So we settled for the food court in the Ronald Raegan Office Building. Mom and I had Nachos. It was really good.

The subway ride back took forever and it was really crowded.

That night, we ate at Woodley Park Cafe. It was okay. I was glad when we got to the hotel and went to bed.

SO CUTE!!!

This is a youtube video and it is one of the funniest of these videos EVER. I love it!!!

Getting There- Part 1

It has been forever since I have posted. I'm really sorry.

On the way to Washington D.C., we stopped in Effingham, Illinois, for food and sleep. Our waiter at Lone Star was telling us about the schools there. It was SO funny. He left and I started cracking up. Effingham is the "Flaming Hearts." A town next to it are the "Pretzels" and another town is the "Wooden Shoes." We got the hotel and they didn't let me sleep on a bed! I had to sleep on a therapist couch thing. I mean, I know I have maybe a few issues (unbalanced, forgetful moments, unbalanced, talking too much. . . just to name a few), but that's not enough to make me sleep on a therapist's couch!! But I got over it. . . somewhat. (Leslie's edit - it was a chaise lounge and she volunteered!)

We got in the car the next morning at about 8:30 and I thought it was really REALLY cold!! I never thought that would happen again! But it did! I was happy.

When we hit Terra Houte, we were caught in an overwhelming cloud of horrible stink. Mothballs. That's what it smelled like. And we passed a white thing and Dad said that it really did look like a Giant Mothball!

Ohio was the worst to drive through! It was so wide and took almost 4 hours to cross! We were so bored! There was nothing there and I was in the middle so i could barely see anything and I was beginning to feel sick. When we stopped at McDonalds, I barely ordered anything and then ended up eating half of Mom's meal and my own small fries and milkshake. I felt better and we were back on the road.

When we were on our way to Montana, the clouds magically turned into really pretty snow covered mountains! So, it was almost twilight outside and I saw a "hill" in the distance. Only Nana believed me. Mom didn't say anything. Dad thought I was crazy. Seth. . . was Seth. It turned out, it wasn't a hill/mountain. Dad was kinda mean. When the moon came up, Dad said,"Hey, Taylor!!! Look at the big porchlight on the 'house' on top of the 'mountain'!" I was not very happy with him. Nana and I found our own mountains later.

Dad was telling us about when him and a friend were driving somewhere when they were 16. It was dark and Dad was driving while his friend, Brian, slept. After an hour of driving, Dad set the clock ahead about 4 or 5 hours and told Brian it was his turn to drive. I said that I am going to do that when me and some friends are on a road trip.

We were planning on stopping before we got to D.C., but we were so close so we got a room at the hotel in D.C. and stayed there that night. We got in at about 11. We were just glad to be there.

It's Been a Long Time

Sorry it's been so long. I've been really busy.

This week was one of my better weeks. It was really fun. One of my friends spent the night with me and we had lots of fun. We watched one of our favorite movies from when we were young. Peter Pan. We were in love with it. And one morning, we cooked noodles, poured paint in plastic bowls and threw them at pillow cases and sheets!! It was A LOT of fun.

On Saturday, my family went to a dinner in Deepwater. The chicken was fit for kings, the entertainment was not. When we were leaving the building, we heard music and it sounded Irish to us, so I started "dancing". Mom and Seth were laughing, Dad was talking. So we walked over to the outdoor stage and listened. The next song was really bad. Dad was still talking, so we still listened. It got worse. The next song started out "Well, she's a big fat woman and it's an itty bitty bottle of wine." I tried not to laugh, but they kept singing it. I couldn't help it. So after that song I texted Dad, " We are going to leave this song slaughter and go to the truck." On the way home (I don't know how it came up), Dad asked what language they spoke in the Netherlands. I said, "Dutch, but I was about to say Norse, for some reason, but that's crazy because that's some sort of code." Mom looked at me and said," That's Morse code. Not Norse." I still haven't heard the end of that one.

On Thursday, we went to the new Warrensburg pool. It was fun. Amy and I stayed in the Lazy river about the whole time. We were in the pool all of 10 minutes out of about 3 and a half hours. We went down the slide 2 times and we swam about 5 minutes and we sat and watched 'divers' and rated them. This one kid was meaning to dive but he accidentially ran off the end of the diving board. We almost fell in the pool because we were laughing so hard.

We had another tournament this weekend. We won our 8am game. We lost our 9am game. We won our noon game. Then we had our Home Run Derby. And other events. Then there were fireworks. I wasn't there. Then the next day, we played at 3pm and we won and went on to the championship. We won that by 1. Some of the parents were keeping score also and they thought we were tied and then the game ended and they were confused. We all got medals and each team chose 3 people that they thought played really well and Jess, Emma, and I got one. Emma pitched really well, and Jess made some really nice catches at first. I made a good catch at center and a good stop but I didn't think I would get one of those medals.

Then we all went to Applebee's. There was 9 of us at a table for 6 maximum. It was a little crowded. It was Chandra's birthday so we told the Applebee's people and we were SO LOUD!!! It was fun.

Our next tournament is in Basehor, Kansas. It's the MOKAN State Tournament. I won't be at the World Series because I will be in Washington D.C., which I have already ordered my books for.

I ordered:

Night of the Soulstealers- Joseph Delaney (Book 3, The Last Apprentice)
Attack of the Fiend- Joseph Delaney (Book 4, The Last Apprentice)
Lunatic- Ted Dekker (Book 5 , Lost Chronicles)
Elyon- Ted Dekker ( Book 6, Lost Chronicles)
City of Bones- Cassandra Clare (book 1, Mortal Instruments)
Hunger- Michael Grant (Book 2, GONE series)

That's all I bought, but not all I'm bringing.

Well, I think that's it.

Golf and the Fair

Today was a fundraiser for a Scholarship at Knob Noster High School and Lauren and I were walking around watching people golf and we got really confused. We passed one and then we got to a green and it was really far away. Lauren was thinking it was the green for hole 2. So we got to the next starting marker or whatever and it said that was the beginning of hole 2! It took us forever and then we caught up to dad on the hole next to 2 and it was 6! Kellen (who is 7 and golfing with old guys who have been playing forever and i just heard that he almost got a hole in one) was about 2 holes behind Dad and we weren't going to wait long because it took a long time for everyone to finish. So we were going back and we realized that we had skipped from 2 to 6. we saw five right there but, where was 3 and 4? There was another golf cart path that we didn't follow so we thought that one was 3 and four started at the end and at the end of that was 5. I figured that out but it was really confusing if you had never been there. There was also a path going through the woods and I looked down it and said,"You couldn't pay me enough to go down there! I don't want to end up like Little Red Riding Hood or Hansel and Gretel almost did!!!" It was funny.

So then we came back to the fair to watch the games. Kiersten and Sarah were in the water balloon toss and they were so close to winning! Ryan and Gavin got 2nd and 3 bucks each. Sarah was in the soda drinking contest and she got $25 and 1st place. (Scott says hi- vbhhug g ty mty ,f mnt m tm)

This is Kiersten again. I have been having so much fun at the Knob Noster fair. I have also written about this on my grandma' s blog. Taylor has been on this blog 24/7. Scooty has been saying Taylor is the best (pshht). Taylor's awesome and has a really REALLY annoying little cuz! Moi. I learn how to spell so much from MAXIMUM RIDE. Anyone who doesn't read it is wierd. So read it then YOU won't be WIERD (unless you're naturally wierd). Well that's it for me. BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is Sarah (the one that got $25).Today at the ballon toss when I tossed it to Kiersten she tried to catch the ballon and it splaterted all over her (that is going to be something to laugh about later on). On Thursday I was in a soda drinking contest I drank more than half of a 2 liter bottle. Later on tonight I am going to the fair agin and I am getting a wrist band so I can ride unlimited rides like my favorites the Ali Baba, Zero Gravity, and Cliff Hanger.Well I am signing off. BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's Taylor now. We had a lot of fun at the fair last night. We had really good egg rolls and Dippin' Dots. And before we left, we had some of the best corn dogs EVER!! The slide was really bad. On the last drop, all of us came off the slide about a foot and going about 80 mph! The last time I rode it, I hit the bottom so hard that I couldn't breathe. It hurt. The Cliff Hanger was a lot of fun. Everyone thought we were crazy because Uncle Nate told Kiersten and I to imitate Superman! That was cool. We got really dizzy on Zero Gravity. It's the one that spins and then tilts. I went on the Ferris Wheel 2 times. Once with Kiersten and Kellen and another time with just Kellen. It was just your average Ferris Wheel ride. The Ali Baba has always been my favorite ride (except when the Ring of Fire was there). It just goes in giant circles (but doesn't go up side down) and you feel like you don't have a stomach. Kiersten and I were small enough during the times we rode it that we were moving around in the seat and hitting our hips on the sides.

I don't have softball practice tonight. I have a tournament next weekend (Father's Day Weekend). I will be in Washington D.C. during the weekend of the World Series (it takes 2 days if not more to drive it and we have to be in D.C. on the Friday before the tournament).

That's all (sorry its long. I just did a lot this weekend)

Only Because

I don't really have anything to post about, but when dad got home, he said that Mimi wasn't happy with me cuz i hadn't posted in 2 days. I have to post more tomorrow after the Knob Noster Fair. (I get to help with the golf tournament and i have 2 be in Knob Noster at 8 and it's 45 minutes away and then that night I'm going to their fair)

Mom let me start wearing makeup yesterday. She bought it for me even though Seth and Tommy were there and being loud and obnoxious (as they usually are). The colors are awesome. There's 'Brown Topaz' mascara and liquid eye liner. And brown and navy and light blue eyeshadow and a darkish ivory foundation. I was almost ecstatitic (wait, is that how you spell it?)!!

Well, I think that's it. I will post more tomorrow. Maybe on Sunday.

Total Craziness!!

We were on our way home from Nana's house yestereday and about 2 miles away from home and it was raining REALLY hard. And then, 1 and a half miles away from home, it completly stopped!! Then we were on our road, and i looked like it hadn't rained AT ALL!! I was like, WHAT THE HECK!? It was CRAZY!!

Seth (my brother) and I were playing Buzz Word last night (where there's this word and you have to guess phrases that has that word in it). My word was cow and my hint was, Leather. I said cow hide and i got it right! So Seth said, "Do you know what the #1 use for cow hide is in the U.S.?" I was thinking, 'Leather, right?' Wrong! I ended up saying, "No. What is it?" And he said, "Covering cows." He had a COMPLETELY straight face as he said it, too! He only started laughing after i didn't get it and then started busting up!

I was so scared today! Seth had a baseball game (he won 1-12) and it had started raining and looked really stormy! Then I heard this lady on the phone and she was talking about a tornado touchdown just south of Warsaw! I was so freaked!! Then, we went to Wendy's and this little girl was talking to someone and asking if the sirens went off there and that they hadn't here yet and they were "staying in Clinton until this really bad storm goes by!" HAHA!! I was getting really scared because I have 'storm-a-phobia' so we came home and I learned that we were under a tornado watch until 1 am tonight and a severe thunderstorm warning until 8 tonight! But, it's over now and I'm better.

That's it!

<3 Tay

The Day of the Bored. . .

This is a new holiday in my family!! I'm kidding. Kiersten (my cousin) and i are really bored and we need something to do so I told her about my blog and I told her that we were gonna post something (Kiersten says "Aunt Lana, PLEASE don't make us another 'I'm Bored' list")

Its raining outside and we ate at Nana's. We had:
really good pork chops
salad
mashed potatoes
green beans
chips
and *drum roll please* DR. PEPPER!!!! yummy!!

There's good news for the Clinton Harry Potter fans!! There's going to be a midnight showing of the movie the night before it comes out!! Amy (one of my *if not my* best friend) said she asked if there was gonna be one when she was at the movies the other day and they said YES!!! We were SO excited!!

I finally got Kiersten to read MAXIMUM RIDE! It's the bestest book(s) EVER!! I love them and most of my friends do (that was my argument) and she admits that its really good! I am proud of her (maybe it's cuz i might have accidentally kinda brainwashed her *shhh! Don't tell anyone!*)

Well, i think that's it! (I'm not sure. I have often forgotten what i was going 2 say. This might just be another one of those times)

<3 Tay

P.S. this is Kiersten and i just want to say you have to read MAXIMUM RIDE!!!!!

Softball and Sunflower Seeds

I had a softball tournament this weekend (June 6th and 7th) in Shawnee, Kansas at Mid-America West Sporting Complex. It was a lot of fun!! My team doesn't act like a softball team. We act like a family. On Saturday, we had an hour break when we all sat around and ate and guessed music and had fun!

We played 5 games this weekend:

#1- win 8-0
#2- win 12-6 and i had the awesomest catch (run halfway across the outfield with a running catch and almost falling, but awesome!!)
#3- win 5-2 ( i thought we lost but my team corrected me. haha) put us at #1 in pool B and playing #4 in pool A
SUNDAY- BRACKET PLAY
#4- win 4-5 (way too close)
#5- lose 11-12:2 extra innings and a 2 hour game. We got 3rd place and all of us got medals!! and a trophy!!

We were so hyper before the 3rd game and we all got 2 go 2 IHOP after the last game and we were really loud (or so we were told). The strawberry banana pancakes are AMAZING!

Positions (for the people on my team- you can skip this)

Lauren- Pitcher
Chandra- Catcher
Jessica- 1st or outfield (usually right)
Haley- 1st or outfield (usually right)
Madie- 2nd (my bye-bye buddie)
Brooklyn- Shortstop
MJ- 3rd or outfield (usually left)
Marissa- 3rd or outfield (usually left)
Me (Taylor)- Center Field
Sydney (aka Tater Tot)- Official encourager and a hitter
Emma- Pitcher or outfield (she was gone on Sunday and we missed her lots)
*I think I got this right*
I LOVE ALL OF YOU!!!

We got some good pics and i will post them as soon as my dad gets home from goodness-knows-where with the camera. HAHA!!!

There are some good times behind softball and sunflower seeds (which are good, but not when you get them spit on you)!!

That's it for now!!

<3 Taylor

This is Why. . .

This is my new blog! I was so excited when I got it, but i couldn't decide what 2 call it. My mom, my brother and I were thinking of names when we were eating lunch today.

My mom wanted "Tater Tot's Thots" but i don't like (haven't ever really) liked the name Tater Tot and it is now one of my teammate's names. My brother wanted something to do with UP (the movie) -"Doug Doesn't Like Squirrels". I was thinking, why doesn't it be really random? I sent this email once and i was thinking "Harold Isn't REALLY A Jedi" then i thought, maybe "Addicted To Sunflower Seeds" because my whole softball team (love you guys!) eats them ALL the time.

Then. . . i got my name. "Plane Proof House"! When my family was in Denver, Colorado in July 2008, my brother was afraid to go on a roller coaster in Elitch Gardens and my mom said not to live your life being afraid and that there was a bigger chance of a plane falling on your house than being hurt on a roller coaster. So I said, "Then you spend all your money on a plane proof house!!" Later I added,"Then after you spent all your money on a plane-proof house, you won't have any money for food and water and then you die and you don't get to see a plane fall on your house and it not get demolished!" It was really funny and it actually is symbolic, too!!

If you live in a plane proof house, then you won't ever take any chances. Not taking chances is no fun!! So you need to leave your plane proof house and not live your life being afraid of roller coasters. . . or anything else except the things that you can be afraid of, like snakes (that's a whole other story).
